Dr. Alex Black is a dedicated endodontist who completed his residency at the esteemed Medical University of South Carolina. In August 2024, he proudly established Black Myrtle Endodontics, bringing his passion for advanced dental care to the community. With a commitment to excellence and patient comfort, Dr. Black strives to provide the highest quality endodontic services in a welcoming environment.
Dr. Black is originally from Lexington, SC. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. His pursuit of excellence led him to the Medical University of South Carolina, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and continued his residency in Endodontics.
Dedicated to staying at the forefront of his field, Dr. Black remains deeply engaged with the latest advancements in Endodontics. He maintains his affiliation with the Medical University of South Carolina as an affiliate professor, regularly attends continuing education programs, and is an active member of the American Association of Endodontists.
In addition to his academic and professional endeavors, Dr. Black proudly serves in the US Army Reserves. His commitment to service began as an enlisted member from 2009 to 2018 and has since continued as a commissioned officer.
In his free time, Dr. Black enjoys fishing, playing golf, and spending time with his wife, Julia, and their pets, Christopher Robin, Olive, and Cooper.
